Instructional Designer

Midlands Technical College

Supports faculty in the design, development, and implementation of high quality online, hybrid and on-ground courses and programs. Works collaboratively with faculty on a one-on-one basis through various mediums, including chat, phone, e-mail, web-conferencing and drop-in consultation with course maintenance, course design, and course content issues. Evaluates instructional effectiveness and compliance of course materials in areas such as accessibility, copyright, and accreditation standards through course evaluations. Work results have a direct and highly visible impact on the quality of instruction, services, and image of MTC. Minimum Requirements: Master's degree required in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or related field. Extensive experience with MS Office Suite. Ability to prioritize, plan, and carry out a variety of work tasks. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to effectively interact with a diverse group of faculty and staff. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a two-year college. Familiarity with D2L Brightspace. Knowledge of ADA requirements for online course delivery
