Many online courses are created by shoveling materials created for the face-to-face classroom online, resulting in page after page of text that can best be described as "shovelware." Online instruction can be so much more engaging! Representatives from three Oregon community colleges will highlight some techniques and tools their programs are implementing to improve the quality of design and delivery of online courses. They will discuss the use of tools - such as a Quality Matters-aligned course readiness review instrument - and techniques - such as an “online faculty consultant” approach. |
