Many states and regional partners have developed networks of virtual learning, in which multiple colleges and/or universities join together to make it easier for students to locate and/or access distance education opportunities in their state or region.
ITC has compiled the list below which includes statewide or regional virtual networks of nationally-accredited, non-profit educational institutions. These systems take on a variety of shapes and sizes and come in all forms of service delivery options. For example, some offer centralized or coordinated services to students or have mutual articulation agreements among their members to make it easy for students to transfer credits among participating institutions. Others collaborate to create the courses their students need to complete distance learning degree programs within their network.
Most of the organizations listed below offer a searchable online database of the distance learning courses available to students at their member institutions. This list is a work in progress. Please contact us at [email protected] if you are aware of a statewide or regional virtual network that meets the criteria above and should be included here.
