ITC National eLearning Surveys

Since 2004, ITC has conducted the only annual national survey focused exclusively on distance education at community colleges. What began as a response to a simple need - reliable, sector-specific data on how eLearning programs were growing and where they were headed - has become the longest-running record of its kind, tracking enrollment trends, staffing, technology adoption, and the issues eLearning administrators and faculty face year over year.

Because ITC's membership is made up largely of two-year institutions, the survey offers a perspective you won't find in broader higher education research: a clear view of how community colleges specifically are building, staffing, and supporting online programs. Recent editions have expanded to cover faculty and administrator perspectives on accessibility and online learning, reflecting how the priorities facing the field have evolved alongside the technology.
